Real Estate manages a total of 105 leases for office buildings, ground leases, parking garages, encroachments, fiber optic agreements, streets, bridges and tunnels. Real Estate creates and supports a data base of 2,600 City owned parcels and 322 City facilities.
Real Estate acquires and disposes of real property or interest in real property including acquiring land or facilities and/or the sale of excess city parcels, easements and right-of-ways.
Real Estate negotiates and acts as Project Manager for all City leases dealing with real property. Real Estate provides to the City’s Administration and Divisions, analyses, feasibility studies, preparation of land valuations and directives in the development of future projects.
