Manhood University
Mayor Strickland sees that many of society's most pressing challenges today are due to the lack of involvement by fathers or a male role model in the lives of children.  Manhood University is a quarterly conference designed to engage men and fathers from all walks of life, by providing an avenue where they can be educated, enlightened, inspired, and celebrated.
The conference will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Pipkin Building (located near Tiger Lane).  All sessions and activities for the day are FREE and open to those who register. This will be more than a one day event. There will be follow up sessions every ninety days to track the progress and success of attendees. This first installment provides interactive exhibits, useful information and materials and will end with a “Family Fun Festival” with game trucks, laser tag, and more.
