NHO has built almost 250 affordable homes and assisted numberous families through their counseling program. Note: NHO is a general contractor in the state of Tennessee.

COUNSELING: NHOM utilizes NHO’s counseling component, which offers pre-purchase counseling and follow-up homeownership counseling that spans three years. The counseling piece works in tandem with local lending institutions to help prepare potential homebuyers for homeownership. It also provides basic stewardship principal of retiring debts and building assets.

SOWERS: In the spring of 2002, NHO created a ministry for single women (and married) who are head of the household. SOWERS, an acronym for Stewardship Opportunities Which Empower and Re-invents Self-worth targets single women with low- and moderate- incomes who are at risk of becoming targets for negative relationships due to financial strains and other needs; it also assist these families in budgeting, family and financial planning. NHOM encourages all of our families to take part in this program.
