Star of Wonder
|
|

The
Sharpe Planetarium presents this reverent program that explores the
mystery "star" sighted by the Magi and recorded in the gospel
according to Matthew.
Using
scientific principals to investigate this mystery leads us to some possible
candidates for the Nativity Star and possibly a more accurate date for the
birth of Jesus.
Science can only take us so far and leaves each of us to decide for
ourselves the true nature of The Star of the Magi.

Winter
Wear Through the 20th Century

It's
the time of year for everyone to move their winter clothing from the
back of the closet to the front, including the Pink Palace. We've
pulled out coats, boots, hats, scarves and more from our winter closet and
put it all on display in the Pink Palace Mansion.

Whether
you're interested in fashion or history, or just need to come in out of the
weather, take a warm, dry walk through winter wear from the 20th Century at
"Ah, But It's Cold Outside" now on display in the Pink Palace
Mansion, through March 31, 2010.
