Women Offering Women Support (WOWS)


Women Offering Women Support (WOWS) is a six-week program delivered by community partners in a workshop setting. Guided by the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum; The Nurturing Parenting Program is research based with the goal of preventing recidivism in families receiving social services and to reduce the rate of juvenile delinquency by teaching positive parenting behaviors.

The focused topics include:

  • Who am I- Personality Assessment
  • Belief and Goals Vision Planning
  • Financial Freedom
  • Affordable Home Ownership
  • Health and Wellness
  • Strategies for Positive Communication

The expectation is that women who attend all sessions will be better equipped in capacity building skills, social support and empowering them to continue in their journey. 

Session Dates:
February 11, 2020-February 27th (3 weeks)

All classes for the accelerated sessions are Tuesday's and Thursday's.
Class times are 10-noon and 5-7 p.m.

All accelerated classes will be held at 555 Beale Street.
