Community Meeting on Comprehensive Rezoning

Memphis City Council Members Edmund Ford, Sr. and Cheyenne Johnson will co-host a community meeting on Tuesday, November 9th from 4:30pm-6pm at the Levi Branch Library (3676 S. Third Street, Memphis, TN 38109) with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development to discuss proposed zoning changes that will be up for consideration before the Memphis City Council at its next meeting on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

John Zeanah, Director of the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development, will be present to discuss the proposed comprehensive rezoning and answer questions from community members. The proposal of the comprehensive rezoning is in response to the moratorium on gas stations and used tire shops and also in line with the future land use vision of the Memphis 3.0 General Plan.
