Worth Morgan

Councilman Worth Morgan is proud to represent the citizens of District 5, which includes such notable City landmarks as the Pink Palace Museum, Midtown, and the world-renowned Memphis Zoo. A lifelong Memphian, Morgan is an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and an MUS alumnus.

Morgan cultivated his passion for politics by serving as a White House Intern in 2008 and later, as the Memphis office manager for then- gubernatorial candidate, Bill Haslam, during the 2010 campaign. His grassroots experience carries with him as he serves the City of Memphis with a local-neighborhood vibe and approach.

Morgan currently serves as Chairman of the City’s Economic Development, Tourism, and Technology Committee, which overseas commercial investment, and is Vice Chairman of the City’s Budget Committee. He also serves on the EDGE Board and Memphis Film & TV Commission.

Councilman Morgan is pleased to serve as honorary chair of the 2019 Memphis Take Steps Walk, for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Memphis, a non-profit for which he is deeply committed. Morgan is the youngest of three, with elder sisters, Musette and Kendall. He credits his parents, Allen and Musette, with instilling in their children the value of service, and dedication to community.
