Memphis Fire Department’s New Fire Cadet Position

Who is Eligible to Apply:
  • Current high school seniors on track to graduate in May
  • Must be age 18 before hire date (July 2021)
  • Must be record-free of any felony and/or misdemeanor conviction involving moral turpitude and pass a required background investigation.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Class D Tennessee Driver’s License. Out of State applicants must have a valid driver’s license upon entry into the Fire Training Academy and within six (6) months must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License with Endorsement F
  • Preferred: Minimum 2.0 High School GPA
