Summer in Memphis guide now available
Posted on 05/16/2018
Rising temperatures and longer hours of daylight are a reminder that summer is right around the corner here in the Bluff City.

Hickory Hill poolOur Summer in Memphis guide was designed to make sure you get the most out of the season. Whether you’re looking to make a splash at the pool or lounge under a shady tree at one of our beautiful parks, you’ll find it all in the guide.

A number of attractions -- from playing footgolf at Riverside to walking the Greenline -- are free, so you don’t have to spend a penny when it comes to getting outside and enjoying the summer months. Kids and teens can take advantage of the Police Boxing Gym to help them stay in shape while building confidence. If catching up on reading is on your list, public libraries will be open, some with hours all seven days a week. The Cloud 901 Learning Lab at Benjamin Hooks Library is a space for teens to brainstorm, learn, and collaborate on projects together.

There are also the attractions Memphis is well-known for, like Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Pink Palace Family of Museums and Mud Island. We haven’t left those out, as summer is the perfect time to be a tourist in your own city.
