While the Small Business Administration only makes direct loans in the case of businesses owners recovering from a declared disaster, it does offer help through a participating SBA lender. Additionally, there are several grants and incentives a small business owner can apply for.

Incentives

Shelby County is in Tennessee’s Tier 2 for Tax Incentives, meaning there are additional enhanced job tax credits available for businesses that qualify.

Tax Benefits

Tennessee has the second lowest state and local tax burden per capita. In addition, there is no income tax on wages.
