Frequently Asked Questions

Am I in Area E?

Area E includes parts of the Hickory Hill, Balmoral, Kirby, Cordova, and Wolfchase areas.  Please click here to determine if you are in the affected area.

When will this change go into effect?

All changes will be effective Monday March 1, 2021.

Why are we making a change to our collection services?

The recent de-annexation of parts of Cordova, coupled with growth patterns in the affected area, created the need to rebalance routes to improve collection services. Differential growth has resulted in service delays. Rebalancing allows equipment and personnel to be deployed most efficiently and effectively.

Scattered residential growth in several communities left garbage routes unbalanced, leaving crews struggling with demand for waste services. The route rebalancing allowed for optimal use of resources – providing better use of time and equipment to service more dense communities in the future.
